Shortcuts brings automation to almost every part of iOS.

When looking at files you can use the Share Sheet to run Shortcuts on a particular file and if this shortcut returns content it will be written back to the file. Swiping right on files in the directory listing lets you show the Share Sheet without entering the file.

Working Copy has special support for automation through the Shortcuts app. Your latest actions performed manually are listed inside Callback examples with the ability to customise parameters and export for use in Shortcuts. You can read more about this in the Users' Guide.

Once you have Shortcuts to perform some action in Working Copy you can trigger these through Siri, share sheet or the Today screen.

You can make Universal Links from the Share Sheet of files, directories or repositories. These can be passed back into x-callback-url commands with the url parameter to make shortcuts that operate on different things inside Working Copy.

When you are using Shortcuts from the share sheet of a repository or directory, a Universal Link is shared by default. Use x-callback-url/zip if you need a archive with the directory structure.
